COVID-19 Protocols & Guidelines

We take the health and safety of our clients, guests and vendors very seriously and have taken every necessary precaution to ensure we can host our weddings and events in a way that will provide peace of mind for everyone while they are celebrating with us. 

Please keep in mind that The Terrace Club is not located inside the City of Austin or the Travis County limits.  We are located inside Hays County and therefore follow the guidelines set forth by the State and the Hays County Judge.  Here is a link to the Hays County site with all current and relative information about COVID-19 in Hays County:

Hays Counties current capacity regulations allow for up to 75% of the total building capacity of any business for any events held indoors. The Terrace Club's current legal indoor capacity is 318 people, however to ensure that we can safely follow social distancing guidelines we are limiting our indoor o at 250 people.  

There are currently no outdoor limitations by the county as long social distancing guidelines can be met. 

Clients, guests and vendors are expected to follow and practice proper hygiene in accordance with the

Texas Health and Human Services as well as the national Center for Disease Control guidelines, including but not limited to:

 People who feel sick should stay home.  We strongly encourage anyone not feeling well to celebrate remotely and from afar. 

Maintain a social distance of at least 6-feet from anyone not in your household. 

Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds periodically and after any touching any frequently used surface.

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, mouth or face. 

Sanitize your hands frequently and often between washes. 

Sneeze or cough into your elbow or into a tissue or handkerchief. 

Face coverings should be used while in public or around anyone not from your household that

you cannot maintain 6-feet of distance between.  It is the responsibility of each individual to

adhere to the order issued by Governor Abbott.  

In addition, The Terrace Club is following all local, state and national guidelines in regards to hygiene, social distancing and sanitation.

Here are just some of the policies, protocols and procedures we have put in place:

Sanitizing stations have been added around the facility for the convenience of everyone. 

The entire venue will be sanitized between events using commercial grade sanitizing procedure.  In addition,

a The Terrace Club representative will be sanitizing any commonly touched surface

periodically during each event, including door handles and railings. 

Vendors and facility staff will be required to wear face coverings while on property and gloves will be required for anyone handling food. 

For anyone who may not have a face covering when they arrive, we will have some provided for

anyone who may need one.

We have redesigned our restrooms doors to allow guests to enter and exit without having to use the door handle as well as

installed sanitation stations and hand dryers for guests to use.  Hand towels will also be available for

anyone who wishes to use them instead of the hand dryers. 

Indoor reception seating will be limited to a maximum of 10 chairs per table, including head tables.  We are strongly recommending 

seating of no more than 8 per table and keeping families and households together at each table.
